Where We Started
The inspiration for Michel Sales Agency can be traced all the way back to 1891 when Theodore Michel founded the Union Brass Faucet Company. Decades later, in 1932, Clarence Michel established the Michel Sales Agency, laying the foundation for our present-day success. We are currently in our 4th generation of family ownership.

1948
Chuck Michel, Clarence’s son, purchases the company.
1959
Chuck moves the company to a 40,000-square-foot facility in St. Paul, Minnesota.
1982
Chuck’s sons — Tom, Chip, and Kelly — purchase the company.
2005
Matt, Teddy, Dan, Rick and Kelly Michel — just after radiant heat piping was installed in their new headquarters in St. Paul.
2005
Michel Sales moves to a new 21,000-square-foot facility in the Phalen Corridor of St. Paul.
2005
Michel Sales Agency starts their training program in their new 1,400-square-foot training center.
2020
Rick, Matt, and Dan Michel become the Principals of Michel Sales Agency as the 4th generation.
2022
Michel Sales Agency acquires R.G. Higgins, joining forces with their expertise in the commercial plumbing and PVF markets.
2024
Michel Sales Agency moves their Wisconsin office from West Allis to Milwaukee, going from 2,000 to 7,500 square feet.
